Why is Uber banned in Denmark?

Because Denmark called Uber’s bluff. Uber claims to be a ridesharing company, not a taxi company. Taxis are regulated in Denmark, as in many other countries/cities, for all kinds of good reasons; ridesharing is regulated differently. Denmark has a thriving ridesharing company/app, GoMore, that actually does what Uber originally said it was all about: ridesharing, not taxi service. Uber couldn’t figure out how to prove that it was more ridesharing (I’m going there, do you want to come along for a price?) than a taxi service (Tell me where you want to go, and I’ll go there for a price.). Why? Because Uber is not least a taxi service, not just a ridesharing service. Other places have done the same thing as Denmark.
